From Buddha’s words and my point of view, I would like to speak in a simple and easy-to-understand manner.

Conclusion: realize that there is little that our body can do

First of all, I have a question.
Do you usually worry about something?
It became a modern information-filled society, and we had to think a lot more.
I think that there are many cases of anxiety due to SNS and news that incites anxiety.
By that amount, there will be more opportunities to think about something.
Mr.Shaka started Buddhism in India 2500 years ago.
At that time, there were people who were worried and suffering like us.
Mr. Shaka answered such a problem as follows.

The only movements we can do are “walk, stand, sit, lie down, and contract muscles.”
No matter how good your body and abilities are, this is all you can do.
I will explain the meaning of this word in an easy-to-understand manner ↓
Explanation: There is actually little that the body can do.

For the problem of “worries and pains”, we will refer to the following words from Mr. Shaka.
A castle called a body that can only do this
Externally, walk, stand, sit, sleep.
Internally, muscles stretch and contract.
Ultimately, this is the only thing you can do with this seemingly splendid body.

People are thinking creatures

I think this Mr.Shaka’s words sound like a very outlandish idea.
Actually, we usually think by seeing and hearing and receiving various information.
Sometimes we have religious, philosophical, and noble ideas.
People are better at thinking and imagining clearly than other animals.
Thanks to that, I started farming, building factories, and mastering smartphones.
As civilization and society developed, we humans came to think that they were amazing creatures.
It’s actually an amazing creature.
All you can actually do is move your body

However, there is one thing I would like you to think about.
We think in the brain.
Then, did the brain create a modern society?
As a parable, it may be said that the brain created the society, but that is not the case.
From the movement of the whole body to cultivate the field with a hoe, the movement of the arm operating the crane, the movement of the finger tapping the smartphone.
Everything moves according to the instructions of the brain, but the only movements that can be done are whole body movements and muscle contractions.
There is no other operation that can be done.
For example.
Now I am writing this sentence on my computer.
This is because I want to create a place where people in the world can acquire knowledge of Buddhism.
However, regardless of my thoughts, the only action I’m actually doing is moving my fingertips to the right or left.
The gap between thinking and the body

We were born in the Internet society and are stuffing information into our brains without interruption.
In the past, I should have thought about my life and my neighborhood, but now that is not the case.
There were too many things to think about.
But what about your body?
Since ancient times, the operations that can be performed have not changed.
Only “walking / standing / sitting / sleeping / muscle contraction”.
The information society has clearly bloated our thoughts and imaginations.
As a result, I feel that I have more worries.
However, no matter how much we worry about it, the only movements we can do are “walk, stand, sit, lie down, and contract muscles.”
I think we need to go back to this fact once in a while.
Facts not to forget

I do not downplay the potential of people.
It’s wonderful because we created this society with just this kind of movement.
However, if you have a hard time thinking about it, please think back on this ultimate fact.
The only movements we can do are “walking, standing, sitting, lying down, muscle contraction” at any time.

I think it is also due to the dramatic increase in the things we have to think about due to the spread of SNS and smartphones.
Knowledge and tools have increased, and there are many things that can be done.

No matter how much knowledge and tools we have increased and we can do more, this is the only action we can perform.
You can think and imagine as much as you want.
However, even if you are deeply worried or anxious, there are very few actions you can actually take.
I do not try to deny the possibility of people or that it is meaningless to think.
If you are worried.
Ultimately, I would like you to recall that this fact exists.
Then, your heart will be relaxed.
